More Awards = More Facts!!

I have been given two more awards!! I am so thrilled by this as these awards are given by my fellow bloggers who give me so much inspiration and fill me with awe.

First of all Grateful4Crochet has given me the Leibster Blog Award:

I'd like to pass it on to two of my favourites:

I've also been given the Versitile Blog Award by Ashley at Country Rose (do check out her blog, she has a wonderful giveaway running at the moment):

I'd like to pass this onto:

Little Cotton Rabbits
Nelly's Eggs

So now I have to think of more facts for you!!

  • I used to teach antenatal classes for the NCT.
  • H is named after my beloved late Granddad, we adored each other.
  • I can do the Vulcan "Live Long And Prosper" salute with both hands & I can roll my tongue.
  • Today, aged 38, I read "The Velveteen Rabbit" for the first time - loved it!!
  • I am a late person. Late for everything despite trying not to be.
  • I love cheesecake - I am on a quest for the ultimate cheesecake - the type that is cloying and claggy & sticks to the roof of your mouth like the Polish cheesecake we had when we were kids - I find it perhaps once every 10 years.
  • Despite being a pretty good cook, I cannot bake a decent cheesecake, they are either too dry or too moussey.
  • My sister is nothing like me, she is a size 8 pefectionist prefect - I am a size 22/24 "that'll-do-ist" who likes to break the rules!! She is my best friend.
I think that's all I can manage!!

How do you feel about blog awards? I love getting them, it gives me a real buzz to be acknowledged by the ladies who I admire the most. Lately though, I have been surprised to learn that some bloggers don't really "do" them, maybe it's just each to their own?

Now, before I go sciatica news!! Still v. sore though marginally better today - yesterday I had my hair highlighted laying down!! Luckily, my friend does it and so wasn't phased at all, bless her she even gave me a foot massage whilst my foils were cooking!!

  1. I started the course to become and antenatal teacher too, Sarah! I gave it up though as I found it hard to fit in the studying etc with 2 young children. I was a volunteer within my local branch for over 5 years in the end!

I hope the sciatica starts to ease soon as it's the school hols :)

  2. Ooh, thank you!! :) I love awards too, I think there's a lovely community feeling about getting awards from fellow bloggers :)
Congrats on your awards too! I've only made one cheesecake and it was the none baking kind. I made it at school, and it got squished on the way home. Tasty though!
I love the Velveteen Rabbit! :)

  4. Love this!!!!!!! So glad you are a little bit better today my love. Wondering how you were getting on. Can't think which is the Vulcan hand thing.....will have to google it to be sure. But well done!
My sis is my best bud too. She is 6 years younger and used to drive me nuts as a kid but I can barely get though a day without speaking, texting or emailing her.
I haven't read The Velveteen Rabbit either but must do some time. Think I'd be thrilled to come across it in a charity shop!!
My breastfeeding training is through the Breastfeeding Network not NCT,and been desperate for ages to do it.
Cuckoo is right, I do take on too much and probably should wait until next year but then they might not have the funding for it again so decided I can squeeze in two hour lectures for 12 weeks and then give up 4 hours a month to the local maternity unit. I LOVE hospitals so need to do it now!!!!
Loved this post today and congrats on all your followers!

  5. Oh you poor thing, you are still suffering?! Glad you managed to still get your hair done - we gals have our priorities don't we!

Was gutted not to win your giveaway the other day so have bought the book myself on your recommendation! Can't wait for it to arrive!

I'm a late person too, always so late and the more I try to be on time the later I am. It's horrendous. I make myself so cross. Every year I write 'be punctual' in my new year resolutions and every year I fail.

Love cheesecake too. When you find that recipe be sure to share on here!

    Hope your back fixes soon.

  6. that was fun sarah! i can roll my tongue & do that hand thing too, though i don't watch star trek. for a long time, i thought it was a thing from mork & mindy. cheesecake is one of my fave desserts. i like the kind with melted chocolate then some batter stirred into chocolate on the bottom & rest of batter poured over the top & baked, yum!

  7. Must be the day for getting hair done as I got mine done today too. I feel so much better.
That sciatica is really being a pest isn't it! I hope it improves soon.
About blog awards, you would know that I'm one of those weird people who feel awkward receiving them. I do think it is a lovely idea though and you are very deserving of the lovely awards you have received. :)
    Have a lovely day,
    Anne xx
