WOYWW - My Desk....

Gosh it's a mess this week!! I've been repainting my dressing table mirror and I hope to paint some shabby chic roses on it when I've practiced (you can see a couple of my daubs behind the sewing machine).

I've also been painting the photo frames that are usually on the stairs - they were a mismatch of dated frames, so I have painted them in ice-cream colours to go back up when we've painted the stairs and landing white (not looking forward to that one!!)

Pop over to the Stamping Ground to see what other people have on their desks (I do love a nosey!!)

  1. Oh I love it, it looks like a proper crafty person's worktable. Show us the frames then... they sound gorgeous! I've got a thing for ice cream colours.

Going to have a look at the other worktables now, I love seeing where people live/work/craft, it fascinates me!

  4. Via Sals Snippets, I've found your blog and oh, what fun it is! I would like to add I love that dressing table (I had a kidney-shaped one when I was a child and loved it, complete with 'skirt' but only two drawers underneath) and I would add that cheap paint is exactly what it says on the tin: cheap! Best paint we have used by far is Farrow & Ball, for quality of paint and for depth of colour. It is more expensive than the cheap stuff but worth it, believe me.

  5. I spy the ice cream frames in the background Home Bird, look RIGHT at the back!
This is a creative person's haven and lush.
Sarah, of course you can refer to charity shops as cherry tree shops.
In fact I think we all should. Loved this post and can't wait for you to finish the kidney shaped dressing table.
    night night.

  9. Hello there,
Thank you for following my blog, hopefully it won't encourage the broodiness but dampen it with stories of how hard I seem to find it all -ha ha.
Actually I am probably a bad influence - it will be really easy for you 3rd time round, i think you should do it!!!
